Meet the Team

Mark Egan

Editor-in-Chief

Mark spent 19 years at Reuters, where he was New York Bureau Chief. He reported on the White House, global economics and culture. He twice won Reuters Journalists of the Year awards.

He also held leadership roles at Bloomberg, Guggenheim Partners, Allianz, and Brookfield. He has a master’s in economics from Trinity College, Dublin, and is a Reynolds Center for Business Journalism fellow.

Darren Goode

Head of Communications

Darren has reported on energy, climate, and transport at Politico, the National Journal and The Hill.

His clients have included Bluesource, Environmental Defense Fund, Future Fuels Coalition, Great Plains Institute, Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure, National EV Charging Initiative, Natural Resources Defense Council, Orange County Power Authority, and others.

Euny Hong

Managing Editor

Euny has written for The New York Times, The Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Her book, The Birth of Korean Cool, was an Amazon Editor’s Pick for Best Non-Fiction.

Previously, she worked for France 24 and as an FT columnist. Fluent in English, French, German, and Korean, she holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University and was a Fulbright Scholar.

Steve McCarthy

Executive Producer

Steve is an Emmy Award-winning TV news producer and documentary maker with 60 Minutes, Dateline and CNN experience. He also teaches at Montclair State University.

Josh Cook

Video/Social Media

Josh creates great B2B and B2C content, specializing in video editing, SEO and growing audiences on social media. He has worked with clients including LG, PwC, Ogilvy, and Sony Music.

Liam Daly-Smith

Researcher/Project Manager

Liam is project manager and undertakes research for stories. He has a BS in Physics from Bates College where he researched renewable energy sources.
